Newly promoted MHVCC 1st XI start campaign away at Harpenden 3rd XI

'With two of our teams competing in new divisions having won promotion last season and with our own brand-new state of the art practice nets due for completion in the spring, 2023 should be a season to remember.'
- Director of Cricket Philip Smith

The 2023 Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League fixtures have been released with newly promoted Mill Hill Village 1st XI starting their campaign away at Harpenden 3rd XI on May 6.

Dates and start times of all matches can be seen via the links below.

Mill Hill Village 1st XI, promoted to Division 4B after winning Division 5B last year, start against a Harpenden 3rd XI that won seven out of 18 league fixtures last season.

Our 1st XI’s first home league game is the following Saturday, May 13, against Stevenage CC 2nd XI, followed by another home encounter against Shenley Village CC 2nd XI on May 20.

The 1s (pictured above) end their campaign away at Broxbourne CC 2nd XI on September 2.

In Division 7B, it’s the battle of the newly promoted sides on the opening weekend as MHVCC 2nd XI take on Aldenham CC 1st XI at home on May 6. Aldenham won 15 out of 18 fixtures last season in Division 8A while our 2s won 14 out of 18 in Division 8B en route to becoming champions.

The following weekend the 2s are away at Harpenden Dolphins CC 1st XI before another away fixture at Old Minchendenians CC 1st XI on May 20. The 2s end their season at home against Luton Town & Indians CC 3rd XI on September 2.

MHVCC 3rd XI, in Division 10E, start their season away at Old Elizabethans CC 3rd XI before consecutive home fixtures against Holtwhites-Trinibis CC 3rd XI (May 13) and Hatfield and Crusaders CC (May 20). They end their season away at Southgate Compton CC 2nd XI on September 2.

MHVCC 4th XI, in Division 11E, start their campaign at home against the 3rd XI of local rivals Old Camdenians CC. They then have consecutive away fixtures, against Holtwhites-Trinibis CC 4th XI (May 13) and Edgware CC Saturday XI (May 20). The 4s end their season at home against Cheshunt Rosedale CC 3rd XI on September 2.

With two of our teams competing in new divisions having won promotion last season and with our own brand-new state of the art practice nets due for completion in the spring, it should be a season to remember.”
