Mill Hill Village Club Captain Devraj Ray has urged his side to put in their best performances of the season over the next two weeks to claim two wins that would virtually guarantee his 1st XI the league title.
The 1s currently lie in third spot in Division 5A of the Saracens Herts Cricket League with two games remaining.
In a mouth-watering clash on Saturday, they face table toppers North Mymms, on 316 points with eight wins from 15 matches. In second place lie Luton Town & Indians CC 2nd XI, on 305 points with eight wins from 14. The 1s are on 273 points with seven wins from 14, 43 points behind North Mymms 2nd XI, who only have Saturday’s fixture remaining.

Ray (pictured above, far right) said: “There's no other way to put it: the 1st XI has two must-win games in the next two weeks. Win both, and promotion is virtually guaranteed, and a slim chance that we could also win the league if Luton Town manages to lose both their remaining games.
“First up, we are away to North Mymms who are currently 1st in the league, but this is their last game.
“It has been such an uplift this year, all around the club, on and off the pitch, and to be right in the mix at the end of the season is proof that we are headed in the right direction, and we're only just getting started! Cricket doesn't get more exciting than this.
“Let's have everyone's support, and let's pay it back with our best performance of the season. Up the Village!”
The team lineup for Saturday's 1st XI fixture is: Dan Potter, Sumit Jadav, Devraj Ray (c), Marcus Cara, Sam Smith, Will Wyatt, Jay Nandha, Tommy Smith, James Thompson (wk), Obaid ur Rehman, Amit Chadha
