Mill Hill Village Cricket Club will host its annual memorial game in honour of colts founder Ron Bunning, taking on Paddington CC (pictured above) on Friday, July 17.
The T20 clash, starting at 5.30pm, sees the two teams competing for the Ron Bunning Memorial Trophy.
This year marks the 24th anniversary of the memorial match. Friends and supporters from both clubs are urged to come and cheer on their teams at Burtonhole Lane. The clubhouse bar will be open.
A Mill Hill Village Cricket Club spokesman said: "The Ron Bunning Memorial Match is always one of the highlights of our season and a wonderful opportunity to remember someone who gave so much to our club. We'd love to see as many friends, families and supporters as possible at Burtonhole Lane to enjoy an evening of cricket, cheer on the teams and help make it another great occasion."
In other highlights of Cricket Week, a Mill Hill Village Friendly XI will take on touring side Sportitude CC on Wednesday, July 15, in a 40-over fixture starting at 1 pm, and a President’s Select XI will take on a Mill Hill Village Friendly XI on Thursday, July 16 (5.30 pm).
Players are asked to signal their availability via the ClubSport 365 app.
A regular schedule of weekend league and friendly matches also takes place on the weekends, either side of the three weekday games.
