The Village won the toss and chose to bat.

Piers Jenkins (46) and Majid Asif (54*) were the main run scorers for the Village with contributions from Farzan Dulker Nain (24), Joe Sheridan (12), Felix Charles (12) and Dave Flavell (12) as the Village ended up on 217 all out after their 45 overs.

Andrew Godfrey (3-48) and Majid Asif (4-40) did the damage with the ball with Dave Flavell (0-35) also bowling a nice spell. The fielding was ok with a few drop catches along the way but Boxmoor could only get to 207-8 off their 45 overs.

Good win for the Village in the opening game of the Sunday league campaign.
