Mill Hill Village Cricket Club is proud to be featured in the latest issue of the Cricketer magazine, out now.
The club is featured in a two-page article on the National Village Cup. The feature in the February issue, headlined “New entrants aim for Lord’s as Village Cup welcomes fresh blood,” includes comments from club chairman and 1st XI allrounder Sam Smith. It also features a photo of our 1st XI.
The article comes as hundreds of clubs across the country, including Mill Hill Village, await the February draw at Lord’s to discover their first opponents.
In October, we announced that in 2026 we would be entering the prestigious National Village Cup for the first time.
The final takes place at the end of the summer in Lord’s. Last year’s finalists Stayley got to prepare in the home changing room and enjoy dinner in the Lord’s pavilion’s Long Room, the article explains.
The Cricketer magazine administers the competition. Through the cup, the Cricketer aims to raise awareness of the village game and to provide the opportunity for clubs to compete against new teams and make new friends.
