About us
A non-profit organisation in a picturesque corner of northwest London with a proud history of more than 150 years, Mill Hill Village Cricket Club invites new members to join our club regardless of cricketing experience, ability or age. In 2026, the club will mark 80 years since it began playing at Burtonhole Lane and enters a Saturday league 5th XI for the first time in decades. All full members can use our new state-of-the-art outdoor practice nets, completed in summer 2023.
Mill Hill Village Cricket Club also provides cricket coaching for over 200 local children and assists coaches and trainers in obtaining relevant sporting qualifications to support our junior members. Email the club for more information.
Our teams
We are currently recruiting players of all standards and ages for the following:
:: five Saturday adult teams, who play in the Saracens Herts Cricket League
:: a Sunday 1st XI, who play in the Middlesex Premier Cricket League
:: an adult team playing friendlies on Sundays
:: mixed junior teams at Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 level
:: four junior girls teams
MHVCC also field teams for occasional adult midweek fixtures.
Recent success
In 2022, our 1st XI and 2nd XI sealed promotion in the Herts Cricket League by winning their respective divisions. In 2024 our 1st XI and 4th XI teams won promotion and we also won the T20 Cup for teams in the lower/regional divisions. 2025 was a year of unprecedented success as all four Saturday league teams and our Sunday 1st XI won promotion.
A lively social scene
We host an annual seven-a-side football tournament in spring, put on a popular President’s Day on the August bank holiday and stage a six-a-side cricket competition across our two pitches at our Burtonhole Lane home every September.
With a lively social scene, including team curries and Christmas dinner, the club takes pride in its off-field events and are making improvements to our clubhouse.
