Mill Hill Village Cricket Club enters the final fortnight of the 2025 season with five teams pushing for promotion — and two already celebrating.
The 2nd XI, captained by Hamdard Jan Temori, need just one more win to be sure of going up from Division 7 East. They travel to Old Cholmeleians 1st XI this Saturday.
The 3rd XI, under Pryank Patel, must win both of their remaining matches — starting against St Albans 5th XI — to clinch promotion from Division 11 West.
Director of Cricket Phil Smith said: "The 2s need one more win, the 3s must win both. A clean sweep is within our grasp."
Meanwhile, the newly formed Sunday 1st XI are also in the hunt, sitting third in Middlesex Premier Division 5 with two games to go.
The 1st XI are promoted and need just six points from their last two games to clinch the Saracens Herts Premier League Division 4B crown. They’ll look to seal it at home against Livestock Green 2nd XI this Saturday, before closing away to Reed CC 2nd XI on the final weekend of the season.
The 4th XI, led by Ken Shakoor, are also going up from Division 12 East. With 10 wins and just one defeat, they sit second, a single point behind Old Albanian CC 3rd XI, with one to play.
The club wishes all teams every success for the remainder of the season as we pursue an unprecedented clean sweep of five promotions.
