Mill Hill Village Cricket Club brought the curtain down on their hugely successful 2025 campaign with a packed awards night at our Burtonhole Lane clubhouse — and it was 1st XI allrounder Sam Smith who grabbed the headlines.
Smith, who has been at the heart of the 1s’ title-winning season, walked away with a double prize haul at the awards presentation, which took place on Saturday after our final league games of the season. Voted Player of the Season by his teammates, he also claimed the Best Batsman award after topping the run-scoring charts. Marcus Cara was named Best Bowler.
But the accolades didn’t stop there. The evening celebrated individual brilliance across every senior side, recognising the players who made the difference in a landmark year for the club as all four Saturday adult league sides and our Sunday 1st XI won promotion from their respective divisions - five promotions in all.
