About the team
In 2022, the 1s captained by Dan Potter were crowned champions of Division 5B in the Saracens Herts Cricket League. Since then, the 1s have been working their way up the divisions under the captaincy of top-order batsman Devraj Ray. All-rounder Sam Smith was voted Player of the Season by his teammates in 2025. He also claimed the Best Batsman award after topping the run-scoring charts. Marcus Cara was named Best Bowler.
Devraj Ray has been reappointed club captain for 2026 and will skipper the 1st XI after leading his side to back-to-back promotions. It will be Dev’s third season as club captain, having been appointed in December 2023.
