Piers goes one better and Lukka takes another 6-for

MHV won the toss and chose to bat. Sunny got us off to a quick start with 43, and when he was out the Welsh wizard was joined by Claw. An excellent partnership saw Piers go one better than the previous week as he amassed 115 whilst George finished 81 not out.

The Village declared at 275 for 2 off 38 overs leaving ourselves 52 overs to get the ten wickets. Opening with the old ball and spinners Downes & Ali the Village were soon in control reducing Southgate Compton to 20 for 3. However it was the introduction of Lukka & and the new ball that was to prove decisive, with the big lad finishing up with another 6 wicket haul. The victory(by 148 runs) & 30 points were confirmed when Lee Crocker picked up the final wicket.
